Shine Bright

I want to encourage you to develop your inner beauty, so you may project it for the whole world to see and admire! Have you ever noticed the individual who may not be "good looking" by many people standards, but they glow from their insides? This happens because their inner spirit is positive, kind, empathetic and lovely. Which in turn makes the person, beautiful, appealing and alluring.
Who we are on the inside goes much further than our exterior appeal. Our physique will fade with time. Internally we can't be weathered by a clock. I want to encourage you to grow your beauty from the inside not from your outside.
I want you to radiate to the world your happiness, cheerfulness, playfulness and joy. We all have these attributes; but are to often afraid to let them luminate. Let yourself go and don't be afraid. You may be surprised by how many people are attracted to you; your inner beauty.
I was once told by a classmate that I taught her what "true beauty" was. She told me this recently; after we had been out of school for nearly twenty years. She said that "I made a lasting impression on her; which she hopes to pass down to her daughter. She said that "I never let my disability effect who I was, that I tried everything, always had a positive attitude, made people laugh, was caring and was beautiful inside and out."
I was only in middle school when I knew her. We got in touch recently and she said after all of these years, she still thinks about me. I was amazed by how much effect I had. I am certain that it had to do with my "internal beauty and my fiery spirit." This is how people remember; someone. It isn't by their exterior; that fades from the memory quickly. But if one "shimmers intensely" that "sparkle" will be carried in memory for life. It is true. If you want to make a lasting impression; be dazzling from your being. Spread your goodness to everyone. Make each person feel special; and be genuine!
I encourage you to display your "light" so you may "shine bright" for the whole world to see. Be proud of who you are, what you want and what you believe in! Be the "twinkle" in someones eye! Be beautiful internally and your exterior will glisten!

  1. I’ve been wanting to post to this for quite a while now, As I have been pondering the meaning of beauty for the past couple of months. I felt like In order for me to truly understand what “inner” beauty is, I first needed to describe for myself what beauty actually is.

So I looked up the definition of beauty and found the following: The quality that gives pleasure to the mind or senses and is associated with such properties as harmony of form or color, excellence of artistry, truthfulness, and originality.

As I meditated upon this, I came to the conclusion that the only thing that I can consistently find behind my labeling of something as beautiful is love. That's right love and I say that because most of the awe inspiring things that people do are motivated by love in some kind of way. (ie, An artist creating a masterpiece desires to show his/her unique form of beauty to his/her fellow man). The best description of love that I have ever found shows the following characteristics: patience, kindness, humility, truthfulness, hopefulness, & perseverance. So in my head whenever these qualities are seen or displayed to the world in any form, it makes people take notice. When these qualities are seen as originating from within another person, we experience it as that alluring glow you mentioned that makes the displayer of those qualities absolutely beautiful and thus attractive.
It is true that who we are on the inside goes much further than our exterior appeal. And It has always been my belief that while outward beauty might initially ingratiate ourselves to someone, It will always be our inward beauty that will keep us in their hearts for years to come.
I thank you for the reminders as I will take your excellent advice and try to do my best to let myself go.and radiate happiness, cheerfulness, playfulness, and joy to the world. I will also spend more time genuinely trying to make each person around me feel as they should…SPECIAL
Well, that’s all I have for now, But I look forward to your next posting. Take care of yourself Sis and know that on this side of the world your light shines/sparkles bright and true, and that we here believe that you have always made a lasting impression by showing yourself to be beautiful…Inside and out/ at best and at worst.
Let me end with some quotes:

"A person is only beautiful, when their own beauty, is reflecting on to others."
    - Tara Grady

"The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched,
they must be felt with the heart."
    - Helen Keller

"The most important thing I teach my kids is that you can’t put your value in looks. Presence is based upon magnitude. You can pretend to have an air about you but it is quickly deflated, but you cannot deflate presence. Presence walks into a room and surrounds and fills anything that’s in that room without trying to demand it, it takes it. It can come from a smile. Like I said, love makes you beautiful. What is beautiful radiates." ~Terrence Howard

    Much love - OJ
